SULSA has teamed up with The Data Lab to bring more life sciences students and companies who are working toward a Data-related problem into their fully-funded placement program. 

We are looking for:

• Life sciences PhD students (who have data and/or AI experience)
• Life sciences companies who have a potential data-related project that could benefit

The programme provides PhD students with an invaluable opportunity to apply their academic skills in an industrial setting, whilst developing essential skills required in the workplace including communication, team working, identifying and solving business problems.

The programme runs until 2024 (subject to available funding) and is an open call for applications.

This placement is open to any discipline but SULSA is keen to encourage life science students and life science companies to take up this great opportunity. You must meet the following criteria:

• PhD student with data and/or AI experience
• Students can participate if they have submitted but they must not have graduated
• Right to work in the UK
• Available for 10 days work over a period of no longer than 8 weeks
• Obtained agreement from their Supervisor before applying to the programme

Whilst The Data Lab endeavour to successfully match as many students and organisations who apply to the programme as possible, the success will depend on the relevance between project requirements and the skillsets of available students.
